Mark "Swany" Swanhart
Swany began his dance studies at 7 years old in his home-town of Vinco, PA and furthered those studies at Point Park College of Pittsburgh. Swany made his professional debut with the James Kelley Choreography project, then performed with Deeply Rooted Dance Chicago, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago among others. Swany then turned his focus to theater and joined the first national tour of Fosse.
Knowing his true calling was choreography, Swany moved to LA where he found his first choreographic job on Baz Luhrman’s La Boheme. Since then, Swany has choreographed music videos (Grammy Award winning Mas Y Mas), films (Disney’s Tinkerbell and the upcoming dance film Kid Bang), and national commercials (Office Max’s Rubberband Man).
